Planning a Natural Dye Garden Online Workshop Recording - Instant Download
Learn to grow your own colour!
In this digital download of an online workshop recording from February 2025, Ria guides you through the range of plants that can be grown for plant powered colour, and suggests ways of growing your own dyes that work with the space you have.
Whether you have a windowsill, balcony, garden or allotment, there are plants suitable for everyone to grow. Ria discusses plant placement, soil and nutrients, as well as sharing plant profiles and colour samples for some of their favourite dye plants. They also share plans for their new dye garden in 2025 and explain how their growing spaces and practices have evolved over the years.
Ria has 7 years experience of growing natural dyes for their business and has a Level 2 qualification in Practical Horticulture from the RHS. They are the author of ‘Dyeing Yarn Naturally’, published by the Crowood Press in 2025.
Here’s what some of the attendees had to say about this workshop in the past:
5/5 - Loved this workshop, I wasn't able to attend on the day, but had access to the recording for a month. I really like the feeling that it was like a chat, while having a good presentation and resource. The wealth of knowledge and the ease of the interactions during the Q&As was very appreciated. Would absolutely recommend.
5/5 - Great presentation, easy ordering, professional support. Recommended!
After completing checkout you will be emailed a link to download a Zip file, containing the video recording (MP4 format) and a PDF of the slides presented. The PDF includes detailed profiles of ten dye plants, plus a list of seed suppliers with clickable links to their websites.
Please do not share the recording or PDFs - these materials are provided exclusively for the use of those who have purchased it. Thank you!
