The Boxy Crop - Orange/Blue
SOLD - More colourways coming soon! Email hello@riaburns.co.uk to be added to the waiting list.
The first of Ria’s capsule Spring collection of simple, boxy sweaters. They have a loose knit, drapey fit that are perfect for this transitional not-quite-Spring weather. It’s cropped to the waist, making it perfect for wearing over dresses, with dungarees or with high waisted skirts and jeans.
Designed as a creative solution to a surplus of naturally dyed yarns from previous seasons, each sweater in the collection will have a unique colour palette. Knitted sideways from cuff to cuff in a random stripe pattern, with each colour change highlighted with a hand manipulated lace border.
This colourway features an orange and beige blend of yarns, contrasted with a dip-dyed blue and white on the neck and hem. The dyes used for this piece are Coreopsis, Eucalyptus, Birch Bark, and Indigo (all homegrown and foraged, except the indigo which is organic and sourced from Tamil Nadu in India).
As with all Ria Burns Knitwear pieces, the yarn is our bespoke Shetland-Romney lambswool from Fernhill Farm in Somerset. It has been regeneratively farmed, expertly blade sheared and sorted, and spun in Wales to our specifications, creating a soft and bouncy yet hard wearing yarn that will last a lifetime.
